The Noble of Flowers

On Xochipilli.  The Noble of Flowers.  For some of us shamanic realization is the living experience of the Cosmos not knowledge of it exclusively.   Xochipilli, the Mesoamerican deity of flowers,love,pleasure,dancing, painting, creativity, writing, the divine of souls, the arts, gifts us an ecology of practices for persistent shamanic bliss. Insight, laughter, and liberation are possible through Xochipilli's multiple blooms. A Higher coherence culture is the invitation of the Flowered one through participatory gnosis. There is the famous statue of a follower of Xochipilli in whatappears to be an altered state exploring, experiencing, savoring one of the ever multiple locations possible through Xochipilli's wisdom. A sun worshiper. Yes. A receiver of Emanating Light. Yes. Yet, the Statue is not Xochipilli.  The statue is of a devotee of the Noble of Flowers. Xochipilli still remains a mystery to anthropologists and academics but not to us. While it is acknowledged that Xochipilli’s communion with the Animate Fields can be obtained through various rituals involving entheogenic plants many of us consider that assumption a more exoteric reading of what the flower inscriptions on the body of the practitioner's sculpture signal or reference.                                                  2. There are many ways to enter and exit these matters of Supreme and local manifestation.  For us, shamanism is an evolving wisdom culture.  It is archaic, indigenous, and modern.  It is meta lineage and transdisciplinary. Our account of Xochipilli begins with the above understanding. Along with variegated competing accounts of reality available  throughout the centuries like Nihilism, Objectivism, Scientific Materialism, Platonism, hermetic philosophies, Religious accounts of the world, and on, contemporary Ameri-Indian shamanism provides an existential and theoretical mapping where relationality, interdependence, and the achievement of wisdom are fundamentals. What gorgeous Conscious Medicine Ontology is opened up through Xochipilli's transformational pragmatics.                                            3. Let's explore the flower emblems as gateways to multiple sites of awareness. The  metaphorical didactic power of such an account is delectable in the way it points to fields of flowers (Xochimilco)as lived experiences. On the "individual" level, the flowers are a soul blossom , deliberations, insights, and revelations received from the non visible realms in the pursuit of wisdom which is the aspiration of the Flowered ones who sing flower songs (xochicuicames), dance, write poems, heal, paint, are warriors, teacher-students, leaders, artists and make music to advance various personal designs (tonalmatl). A petal of one bloom can be the body, another petal within the same flower can be the mind, another petal the spirit and so on. Intra personal, interpersonal, and transpersonal regions are delineated through a philosophy of Beauty and artful living with the appreciation of each flower and how all arrives, stays and withdraws at different scales of existence. Multiple mappings and designs emerge through the ornamentations on the Flower Noble.   The efflorescence of Nature's overabundance can be applied to larger processes as well: minerals, geology, societies, histories, epochs... like particular ceremonies and containers...each with its own intelligence and beauty are accessible to our understanding as they open up their existence. Each "petal" within the flowers signifies as well a feature of that particular unfolding: philosophical, economical, spiritual, technological forces can give the bloom a distinct "identity."..folks inside the ritual field of ceremony give the ritual its unique coloring, for instance. "Flowerings" personal or collective, Micro-cosmic,  meso-cosmic, or macro-cosmic can be cultivated in different ways and sustained in manners that can affect the duration of a particular utterance  (the 21st century for example is a bloom designed by politics, capital, algorithms, distressed habitats and disappearing non humans). Xochipilli brings transformational pragmatics, nevetheless. And yes, dark blossoms can grow either by curation or planetary drifts and seedings. 4. For the non exoteric, the nepantla is the ritual imaginal intelligence that allows the healer, shaman, artist, leader, ceremonial participants to curate possible directions when in the fields of Xochipilli. Creatively destructive. Destructively creative. The Nepantla through plants, chants, way-making,stories and music are preparations for the Advent of the Mystic Wild that co creates with us. More Activations of the Lord of Flowers persist at this time in history though not named as such. We never need the Orphic Hymns or Saraswati (amazing though they are) on this side of the planet for Xochipilli never left and is accommodating within the Great Fields of its horizons other horizons of meaning such as the ones mentioned above. Our view  of time transcends linear accounts of time through the Flower Noble. This is key. This is not Hegel, Christianity, time heading in a particular predestined direction, teleological narratives, for instance. We also say cyclical accounts of time pagan, Pachakuti, 6th Suns, repetitive returns of the same are surpassed as well. The flowerings above, for us, are but  different temporary ornaments on the  Great Shapeshifting Cosmic Body of Xochipilli in whose Cosmic Memory all that appears, arises, and disappears are Magical displays of spontaneous emanations. A super enjoyment is the initiation, exploration and realization. We participate in an open ended process through the vast space of intelligibility accessed by ritual communion and cooperation with Xochipilli, the Nobel of Flowers.   Teotl, as mystery,after all, is seen as a spontaneous self vivifying dynamic power, an eternal self emergent sacred energy that is neither mental or material. Xochipilli, thus is an instantiation of the ongoing recombinations, particular novelties at whatever scale, from Teotl.   Xochipilli, in relation to such a world view of "Becoming and Flows", blooms and witherings, will render forth a non theist ontology  given that these morphogenies  are ongoing.  Any "cosmology" is but a "flowering" and not an ultimate bloom.  There is no sealed cosmos. The process is ever going. Does not end. The combinations of flower fields persist as a timeless spring. Xochipilli is a through line to an open vibrating spaciousness that is filled with the presence of love and is in co creation with all the realms: the Sky bloom of the noble of flowers.
